This notice explains what the internship application form collects, why, and what happens to it. It is provided so that you can give informed consent before you apply, consistent with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
What the form collects
To assess your application, the form asks for your name, email address, mobile number, current location, college or university and course, student status, skills, a link to your CV, and your answers to the application questions. Providing a LinkedIn or portfolio link is optional. You choose what to write in the free-text answers.
Draft saved on your device
As you fill the form, your answers are saved in your own browser (in local storage) so that you can return and finish later. This draft never leaves your device until you submit. It is removed automatically 72 hours after it was last saved, and you can remove it at once with the "Clear saved answers" control in the header. On a shared or public computer, use that control before you leave, and choose "Start fresh" if the form offers to resume someone else's draft.
Two optional addresses, kept apart from applications
If you tell the form you cannot join this cycle, it offers to note your email address and tell you once when the next cycle opens; the office stores that address on its own and uses it for that one announcement, nothing else. Separately, after submitting you may leave anonymous feedback about the form itself; the office stores it without your name or application and reads it only to improve the form.
What happens when you submit
On submission your answers are sent to the office and recorded for this application cycle. The office uses them only to review and shortlist applicants, and to contact you about your application. Your data is not sold, and it is not shared outside the office except where the law requires.
Basic timing information
Along with your answers, the form records a few simple signals to help the office decide whose application to read first when there are many: roughly how long you spent on the form and on the longer written answers, and whether text was typed or pasted in. These are only used to order applications for review, never to reject one automatically, and you are free to draft your answers elsewhere and paste them in. The form does not track whether you switch tabs or leave the page.
How long it is kept
Applications are retained for the duration of the cycle and a reasonable period after, then deleted. If you want your data removed sooner, contact the office using the details below.
Your choices
You may ask the office what data it holds about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. Applying is voluntary; if you would rather not provide a particular piece of information, the office may be unable to consider your application without it.
